North Carolina High School Baseball - Ashe County loses to East Wilkes

The Ashe County Huskies baseball team (West Jefferson, NC), was overwhelmed 8-2 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC)

The Cardinals now hold a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they host Wilkes Central for a non-league outing on Friday, April 21. East Wilkes will face a Eagles team coming off a 18-7 non-league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-16.

Next, the Huskies face the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A outing, on Friday, April 21. Ashe County will attempt to advance on its 9-7 season record. The Patriots enter the outing with a 4-16 record after their 21-2 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).
