The Piedmont Community Charter Patriots baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Bradford Prep Bears to 4 in the Patriots non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Patriots (7-6) will now prepare for their match against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Stallions go into the Metro Eight 1A match with a 6-8 record. In their last match, Queen's Grant tipped Carolina International (Concord, NC), 22-0, in a league match.
The Bears (0-13) will now prepare for their match against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Pride go into the Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A match with a 6-13 record. In their last match, Pine Lake Prep was edged by Central Academy (Monroe, NC), 12-10, in a non-league match.
