The Charleroi Cougars baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Washington Prexies to 0 in the Cougars league victory on Wednesday.
The Cougars (9-3) will now prepare for their match against Frazier (Perryopolis, PA). The Commodores go into the WPIAL 2A 1 match with a 5-6 record. In their last match, Frazier edged Jefferson-Morgan (Jefferson, PA), 9-8, in a non-league match.
The Prexies (3-7) will now prepare for their match against Monessen (Monessen, PA). The Greyhounds go into the non-league match with a 1-9 record. In their last match, Monessen was overwhelmed by Frazier (Perryopolis, PA), 11-6, in a non-league match.
