The Birmingham Patriots volleyball team (Lake Balboa, CA), was nudged 3-2 in Wednesday's league challenge with the host El Camino Real Royals (Woodland Hills, CA)

The Royals (19-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Coronado (Henderson, NV). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 27-0 record. In their last challenge, Coronado nipped Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 21. Birmingham will attempt to move on its 6-13 season record. The Parrots go into the bout with a 10-24 record after their 3-0 league loss to Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA).
