In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains baseball team scored a tight 12-6 victory over the Woonsocket Villa Novans.
The Chieftains (6-1) will now prepare for their game against West Warwick (West Warwick, RI). The Wizards go into the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, West Warwick tipped Toll Gate (Warwick, RI), 4-2, in a non-league game.
The Villa Novans (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Broncos go into the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Burrillville was overwhelmed by Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI), 15-9, in a non-league game.
