Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chico Panthers (Chico, CA), 18-17 in a non-league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Yreka for a challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Lassen will face a Miners squad coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR). The Miners record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Chico falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA) to face the Vikings in a challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Pleasant Valley won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA)
