Springfield Blue Devils (Holland, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Anthony Wayne Generals (Whitehouse, OH), 5-4 in a league challenge.
The Blue Devils now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host St. Ursula Academy for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 20. Springfield will face a Arrows squad coming off a 22-1 league win over Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH). The Arrows record now stands at 9-0.
With the loss, Anthony Wayne falls to 8-1 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Bowling Green (Bowling Green, OH) to face the Bobcats in a Northern Lakes challenge on Thursday, April 20. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 3-1.
