Keene Blackbirds (Keene, NH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Brattleboro Colonels (Brattleboro, VT), 22-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Blackbirds now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Exeter for a Division I challenge on Friday, April 21. Keene will battle a Blue Hawks squad coming off a 8-6 league win over Goffstown (Goffstown, NH). The Blue Hawks record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Brattleboro falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Colonels host Hoosac Valley (Cheshire, MA) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Hoosac Valley lost 14-2 in their recent league challenge against Drury (North Adams, MA)
