Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) and the host George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA), witnessed Herndon's softball squad prevail over George C. Marshall by a count of 13-3.

The Hornets now sport a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Westfield for a non-league match on Monday, April 24. Herndon will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to James Madison (Vienna, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, George C. Marshall moves to 0-11 on the season. The Statesmen travel to Wakefield (Arlington, VA) to face the Warriors in a Liberty match on Monday, April 24. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 2-2. Wakefield lost 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Forest Park (Woodbridge, VA)
