Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY), 13-2 in a league challenge.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Magoffin County for a District 57 challenge on Thursday, April 20. Johnson Central will face a Hornets squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Paintsville falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Tigers host Logan (Logan, WV) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 21. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 15-6. Logan won 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Hoover (Clendenin, WV)
