Neptune Scarlet Fliers (Neptune, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ), 24-11 in a league challenge.

The Scarlet Fliers now own a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Long Branch for a Shore B - North challenge on Thursday, April 20. Neptune will battle a Green Wave squad coming off a 21-11 non-league loss to St. Rose (Belmar, NJ). The Green Wave record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Ranney falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The travel to Neptune (Neptune, NJ) to battle the Scarlet Fliers in a Shore B - North challenge on Friday, April 21. The Scarlet Fliers enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Neptune won 19-9 in their recent league challenge against Long Branch (Long Branch, NJ)
