In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) softball team overwhelmed the host Ninety Six Wildcats (Ninety Six, SC), by a margin of 20-7.
With the triumph, Union County moves its record to 11-4 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Woodruff (Woodruff, SC) to play the Wolverines in a AAA Region 4 contest on Friday, April 21. The Wolverines come into the contest with a record of 4-7.
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Greenwood Eagles (Greenwood, SC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 24. Ninety Six will attempt to advance on its 11-6 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 8-4 record after their 6-0 league loss to Westside (Anderson, SC).
