California High School Softball - Orcutt Academy gets by Santa Maria

The Orcutt Academy Spartans (Orcutt, CA) softball nipped the visiting Santa Maria Saints (Santa Maria, CA), 3-2 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Spartans (6-7) will now prepare for their bout against San Luis Obispo (San Luis Obispo, CA). The Tigers go into the CCAA - Ocean bout with a 3-8 record. In their last bout, San Luis Obispo was edged by Pioneer Valley (Santa Maria, CA), 11-1, in a league bout.

The Saints now possess a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to Nipomo for a CCAA - Ocean bout on Friday, April 21. Santa Maria will confront a Titans squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Santa Ynez (Santa Ynez, CA). The Titans record now stands at 7-5.
