In Friday's league game, the visiting Mayfield Trojans baseball team scored a tight 7-4 victory over the Alamogordo Tigers.
The Trojans (9-11) will now prepare for their game against Gadsden (Anthony, NM). The Panthers go into the 5A District 3 game with a 5-15 record. In their last game, Gadsden by Centennial (Las Cruces, NM), 17-7, in a league game.
The Tigers (5-13) will now prepare for their game against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Bulldawgs go into the 5A District 3 game with a 13-7 record. In their last game, Las Cruces by Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM), 6-4, in a league game.
