The Southern Guilford Storm baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles to 2 in the Storm league victory on Friday.
The Storm (7-12) will now prepare for their match against Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 7-13 record. In their last match, Eastern Randolph was overwhelmed by Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC), 2-1, in a league match.
The Golden Eagles (1-12) will now prepare for their match against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Wildcats go into the Mid-State 3A match with a 9-9 record. In their last match, Eastern Guilford was overwhelmed by Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC), 11-1, in a league match.
