In Friday's non-league game, the host Cumberland Gap Panthers baseball team scored a tight 8-6 victory over the Middlesboro Yellowjackets.
The Panthers (4-9) will now prepare for their game against Clinton (Clinton, TN). The Dragons go into the 3A District 4 game with a 10-19 record. In their last game, Clinton by William Blount (Maryville, TN), 6-0, in a non-league game.
The Yellowjackets (2-10) will now prepare for their game against Harlan (Harlan, KY). The Green Dragons go into the District 52 game with a 11-6 record. In their last game, Harlan by Wolfe County (Campton, KY), 10-5, in a non-league game.
