R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 11-3 in a league test.
With the win, R-S Central upgrades its record to 17-1 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Chase (Forest City, NC) to battle the Trojans in a Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A test on Tuesday, April 23. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 9-8. Chase won 9-3 in their recent league test against Brevard (Brevard, NC)
With the defeat, Patton falls to 7-11 on the season. The Panthers travel to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to battle the Bearcats in a Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A test on Tuesday, April 23. The Bearcats come into the test with a record of 3-15.
