The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) and the host North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI), saw Cranston East's volleyball squad nip North Smithfield by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Cranston East upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Thunderbolts host East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to play the Avengers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, April 24. The Avengers go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

The Northmen now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Bishop Hendricken for a non-league bout on Tuesday, April 23.
