In Friday's league battle, the host Mesquite Wildcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Odyssey Institute Minotaur.
The Wildcats (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against St. Mary's (Phoenix, AZ). The Knights enter the test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, St. Mary's was knocked off by Odyssey Institute (Buckeye, AZ), 2-1, in a league test.
The Minotaur (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ). The Padres enter the test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, Marcos de Niza gained a win over Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ), 2-0, in a league test.
