East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC), 4-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers face the Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 22. East Duplin will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Saints enter the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 10-0 league loss to Hunt (Wilson, NC).

The Blue Devils now have a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to James Kenan for a East Central 2A challenge on Monday, April 22. South Lenoir will face a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 8-5.
