The Watauga Pioneers soccer team scored 10 points and limited the visiting Freedom Patriots to 0 in the Pioneers league victory on Friday.

Next, the Pioneers face the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest, on Tuesday, April 23. Watauga will attempt to better on its 10-1 season record. The Huskies enter the contest with a 7-6 record after their 2-1 league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).

The Patriots now have a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they host Alexander Central for a Northwestern 3A/4A contest on Tuesday, April 23. Freedom will face a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 5-5.
