Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Montgomery Aztecs (San Diego, CA), 8-5 in a league challenge.

The Red Devils now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Chula Vista for a challenge on Wednesday, April 24.

With the loss, Montgomery falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA) to battle the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 4-4.
