In Friday's league battle, the visiting Nelson County Governors soccer squad scored a close 6-0 triumph over the Chatham Cavaliers.

The Governors (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Raiders come into the Dogwood battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Appomattox County nudged Galileo (Danville, VA), 4-2, in a league battle.

The Cavaliers (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Colonels come into the Dogwood battle with a 0-9 record.
