Belfast Lions (Belfast, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host John Bapst Memorial for a Class B North challenge on Monday, April 22.

With the loss, Winslow falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Black raiders host Oceanside (Rockland, ME) to face the Mariners in a Class B North challenge on Monday, April 22. The Mariners enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Oceanside lost 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME)
