In Friday's non-league contest, the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles (West Columbia, SC) softball team held off the host Berkeley Stags (Moncks Corner, SC), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Gray Collegiate Academy moves its record to 23-2 on the year. The War Eagles travel to Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC) to play the Lancers in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 25. The Lancers come into the contest with a record of 4-6.
In their next game, the Stags play the Stratford Knights (Goose Creek, SC) in a AAAAA Region 6 contest, on Monday, April 22. Berkeley will attempt to move on its 13-7 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 7-6 record after their 9-8 league loss to Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC).
