The crowd at Friday's league match between the Mercy Tigers (Middletown, CT) and the host Branford Hornets (Branford, CT), saw Mercy's softball squad achieve victory over Branford by a count of 20-1.

The Tigers now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hamden for a non-league match on Monday, April 22. Mercy will clash with a Green Dragons team coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Lauralton Hall (Milford, CT). The Green Dragons record now stands at 3-6.

The Hornets (3-6) will now prepare for their test against East Haven (East Haven, CT). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league test with a 2-2 record.
