William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Generals now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gretna for a Dogwood challenge on Wednesday, April 24.

With the loss, Dan River falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Gretna (Gretna, VA) to battle the Hawks in a Dogwood challenge on Monday, April 22. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Gretna won 13-7 in their recent league challenge against Chatham (Chatham, VA)
