The Jay Royals (Jay, FL) softball nipped the visiting Flomaton Hurricanes (Flomaton, AL), 1-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Royals (12-7) will now prepare for their bout against West Florida (Pensacola, FL). The Jaguars go into the non-league bout with a 12-9 record. In their last bout, West Florida held off Gulf Breeze (Gulf Breeze, FL), 9-1, in a non-league bout.
The Hurricanes now possess a 7-15 record. They play next when they travel to Clarke County for a non-league bout on Monday, April 22. Flomaton will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-8 league loss to Blacksher (Uriah, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-16.
