Hempfield Black Knights (Landisville, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Penn Manor Comets (Millersville, PA), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Black Knights now sport a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hershey for a non-league match on Saturday, April 20. Hempfield will face a Trojans squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Palmyra (Palmyra, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Penn Manor moves to 2-2 on the season. The Comets host Elizabethtown (Elizabethtown, PA) to face the Bears in a non-league match on Saturday, April 20. The Bears go into the match with a record of 5-0. Elizabethtown won 4-3 in their recent league match against Ephrata (Ephrata, PA)
