The crowd at Friday's league match between the Holcomb Longhorns (Holcomb, KS) and the host Hugoton Eagles (Hugoton, KS), saw Holcomb's softball squad nip Hugoton by a count of 7-2.

The Longhorns now sport a 12-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ulysses for a GWAC match on Tuesday, April 23. Holcomb will face a Tigers squad coming off a 23-2 league loss to Scott (Scott City, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Hugoton falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Stanton County (Johnson, KS) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 23. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 10-2. Stanton County won 12-1 in their recent league match against Elkhart (Elkhart, KS)
