Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA), 17-7 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oscar Smith for a Southeastern challenge on Tuesday, April 23. Nansemond River will face a Tigers squad coming off a 10-1 league loss to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, King's Fork falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Denbigh (Newport News, VA) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Denbigh lost 29-15 in their recent league challenge against Woodside (Newport News, VA)
