Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Laurel Spartans (New Castle, PA), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Lancers now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freedom Area for a WPIAL 2A 1 challenge on Monday, April 22. Neshannock will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 13-2 league win over New Brighton (New Brighton, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Laurel falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Shenango (New Castle, PA) to face the Wildcats in a WPIAL 2A 1 challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-4.
