Monmouth Academy Mustangs (Monmouth, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lisbon Greyhounds (Lisbon Falls, ME), 7-5 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain Valley for a Class C South challenge on Monday, April 22. Monmouth Academy will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 13-9 league loss to Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Lisbon falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME) to battle the Bulldogs in a Class C South challenge on Saturday, April 20. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
