The Southern Choctaw Indians (Gilbertown, AL) softball routed the visiting Marengo Panthers (Dixons Mills, AL), 23-4 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Indians (7-8) will now prepare for their bout against Fruitdale (Fruitdale, AL). The Pirates go into the non-league bout with a 13-9 record. In their last bout, Fruitdale was routed by Leroy (Leroy, AL), 9-2, in a league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Sweet Water for a non-league bout on Monday, April 22. Marengo will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Jackson (Jackson, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-13.
