In Saturday's league bout, the Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR), by a tally of 8-1.

Next up, the Colts encounter the Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR) in a 5A Midwestern bout, on Tuesday, April 22. Thurston will attempt to improve on its 12-2 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 6-7 record after their 13-0 league win over Springfield (Springfield, OR).

With the defeat, North Eugene drops to 3-10 on the year. The Highlanders travel to North Salem (Salem, OR) to play the Vikings in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 23.
