The Western Christian Pioneers baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Salem Academy Crusaders to 7 in the Pioneers league win on Saturday.

The Pioneers now own a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Kennedy for a 2A/1A-SD2 Special District 2 test on Monday, April 21. Western Christian will play a Trojans team coming off a 7-4 league win over Country Christian (Molalla, OR). The Trojans record now stands at 9-0.

With the defeat, Salem Academy drops to 5-6 on the year. The Crusaders host St. Paul (St. Paul, OR) to play the Buckaroos in a 2A/1A-SD2 Special District 2 test on Monday, April 21. The Buckaroos go into the test with a record of 5-1. St. Paul won 12-2 in their recent league test against Colton (Colton, OR)
