The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL) and the visiting Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL), observed East Peoria's softball team get by Normal West by a tally of 7-1.

The Raiders (9-8) will now prepare for their bout against Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Railsplitters go into the non-league bout with a 5-8 record. In their last bout, Lincoln was routed by Springfield (Springfield, IL), 7-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) in a Big Twelve bout, on Tuesday, April 22. Normal West will attempt to advance on its 6-9 season record. The Purple Raiders go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL).
