Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), 9-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Sandia improves its record to 12-8 on the year. The Matadors travel to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Hawks in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 23. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 8-13.

The Golden Eagles now hold a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Capital for a 5A District 2 game on Monday, April 21. Eldorado will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 20-0 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 11-7.
