Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL), 17-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Putnam County improves its record to 11-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to Dwight (Dwight, IL) to play the Trojans in a Tri-County game on Monday, April 21. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 3-10. Dwight lost 12-0 in their recent non-league game against Peotone (Peotone, IL)

The Hornets now hold a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Tri-Valley for a Heart of Illinois game on Monday, April 21. Eureka will play a Vikings squad coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Richwoods (Peoria, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 8-2.
