Virginia High School Softball - Halifax County sneaks past Rustburg

The Halifax County Comets softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Rustburg Red Devils to 3 in the Comets non-league win on Saturday.

The Comets now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chatham for a non-league battle on Monday, April 21. Halifax County will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 6-2 league win over Gretna (Gretna, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Rustburg falls to 6-5 on the year. The Red devils travel to Liberty (Bedford, VA) to play the Minutemen in a Seminole game on Tuesday, April 22. The Minutemen enter the game with a record of 4-4.
