Illinois High School Softball - Washington gets by Pontiac

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Washington Panthers softball team scored a tight 4-3 victory over the Pontiac Indians.
The Panthers (12-1) will now prepare for their match against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles go into the Mid-Illini match with a 14-3 record. In their last match, Dunlap tipped Richwoods (Peoria, IL), 12-5, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Indians battle the Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 21. Pontiac will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Spartans go into the match with a 8-5 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Eureka (Eureka, IL).
