In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Sycamore Spartans softball team scored a nice 15-4 win over the Stillman Valley Cardinals.

The Spartans (11-1) will now prepare for their match against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL). The Knights come into the Interstate Eight match with a 9-5 record. In their last match, Kaneland was routed by Normal University (Normal, IL), 14-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Lutheran Crusaders (Rockford, IL) in a Big Northern match, on Monday, April 21. Stillman Valley will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Crusaders come into the match with a 0-6 record after their 8-1 league loss to Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL).
