The Lamesa Tornadoes baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Brownfield Cubs to 4 in the Tornadoes league victory on Saturday.
The Tornadoes (3-11) will now prepare for their match against Denver City (Denver City, TX). The Mustangs go into the 3A Region I District 3 match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Denver City edged Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX), 15-0, in a league match.
The Cubs (4-7) will now prepare for their match against Trinity Christian (Lubbock, TX). The Lions go into the non-league match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, Trinity Christian edged Covenant Christian (Colleyville, TX), 5-3, in a league match.
