In Saturday's league game, the host Comeaux Spartans baseball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Sulphur Golden Tors.
The Spartans (19-5) will now prepare for their game against Southside (Youngsville, LA). The go into the 5A District 3 game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Southside was overwhelmed by Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 2-1, in a league game.
The Golden Tors (10-6) will now prepare for their game against Lafayette (Lafayette, LA). The Lions go into the 5A District 3 game with a 6-13 record. In their last game, Lafayette was overwhelmed by Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA), 8-3, in a league game.
