Tharptown Wildcats (Russellville, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Danville Hawks (Danville, AL), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Tharptown upgrades its record to 5-12 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Decatur Heritage Christian Academy (Decatur, AL) to battle the Eagles in a 2A Area 14 test on Monday, April 11. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 10-5.

With the defeat, Danville falls to 8-9 on the season. The Hawks host Phil Campbell (Phil Campbell, AL) to battle the Bobcats in a 3A Area 15 test on Wednesday, April 6. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 15-5. Phil Campbell won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Hatton (Town Creek, AL)
