The Monroe Hornets baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Xenia Buccaneers to 1 in the Hornets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hornets (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Eaton (Eaton, OH). The Eagles go into the Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Eaton edged Northmont (Clayton, OH), 9-1, in a non-league match.
The Buccaneers (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Tippecanoe (Tipp City, OH). The Red Devils go into the non-league match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Tippecanoe was overwhelmed by Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach, FL), 8-2, in a non-league match.
