Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Navajo Pine Warriors (Navajo, NM), 4-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Thoreau upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Hawks travel to Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM) to battle the Cougars in a 3A District 1 test on Thursday, April 7. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 4-3. Tohatchi won 17-2 in their recent non-league test against Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM)

With the defeat, Navajo Pine falls to 1-6 on the season. The Warriors host Northwest (Shiprock, NM) to battle the Falcons in a non-league test on Thursday, April 7. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 4-10.
