In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Somers Spartans baseball team scored a tight 6-3 victory over the Plainville Blue Devils.
The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Windsor Locks (Windsor Locks, CT). The Raiders go into the North Central Connecticut game with a 0-0 record.
The Blue Devils (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT). The Terriers go into the Central Connecticut - South game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Rocky Hill tipped Vinal RVT (Middletown, CT), 15-0, in a non-league game.
