In Saturday's non-league game, the host St. Pius X Sartans baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Valley Vikings.
The Sartans (11-4) will now prepare for their game against Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Hornets go into the 4A District 5 game with a 0-14 record. In their last game, Highland was edged by Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM), 33-0, in a non-league game.
The Vikings (9-9) will now prepare for their game against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM). The Knights go into the 4A District 6 game with a 2-15 record. In their last game, Del Norte was edged by Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 17-0, in a league game.
