Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Monroe Area Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 4-3 in a league test.
With the win, Putnam County upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season.
With the defeat, Monroe Area falls to 8-8 on the season. The Hurricanes host Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 13. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 0-2.
